We are partnering with the Conservation Corp's Environmental and Cultural Hiring Opportunity (ECHO) program to hire a Cultural Conservation Intern (Location: St. John’s).

The Cultural Conservation Project will research and document oral traditions and stories about local historic sites and cultural practices in and around the St. John’s area. The project will include photography of people, customs, and places, as well as digitally recorded oral histories with local residents. All material will be compiled and made accessible to the public through a partnership with Memorial University’s Digital Archives Initiative. The project will also include the identification of interviewees, buildings, and places for cultural research and documentation.

Successful applicants will be required to participate in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) training and follow all OH&S regulations and policies of CCNL. Period of employment is July 4th to August 19th, 2016.
