Recently I was working on some material from the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, which includes these stacks of letters written during WWII between two penpals who would eventually become husband and wife. With today's social media and email communication, the personal handwritten letters are a really beautiful sight! Do you still write letters? Have you ever had a penpal?

still do but to a select few....as far back as 1990 or thereabouts I began by taking off the old concert, art posters off of poles, walls in various places that i have lived (or visited)and writing letters on them. Back in 2003 I designed a set of Nl postcards with Nl phrases related to culinary culture from across the province as well. I still have one or two friends that do the same from as far away as Australia and Europe.fred
