Save the date! Friday 13th mini-forum on intangible cultural heritage

There is a lot happening locally related to intangible cultural heritage, folklore, folklife and oral history. And we want you all to know about it!

So, on Friday the 13th, December, an appropriately folklore-rich day, the intangible cultural heritage office is organizing a mini-forum on what has been happening in the heritage world in this sector, and we'd love you to come.

We'll be presenting a series of tiny presentations and slide shows, a show-and-tell for folklore lovers, at the MMaP gallery space (the old art gallery) at the St. John's Arts and Culture Centre, at 1pm. We are still lining up speakers, but some of the presenters will include:
  • Dale Jarvis - Newfoundland and Labrador’s ICH Strategy - 5 years and counting
  • Lisa Wilson - Bay Roberts ICH Projects
  • Andrea O’Brien - Heritage Foundation of NL Poster Contest
  • Nicole Penney - Review of the Baccalieu Trail Heritage Corporation Oral History Collection
  • Sarah Ingram - Wells and Springs Research Project
  • Kayla Carroll - The Quidi Vidi Folklore Fieldschool
  • Chris Brookes - Inside Outside Battery: An interactive adventure in sound
... and a few more guests! With snacks!

If you'd like more information, contact Dale Jarvis at ich@heritagefoundation.ca
